The single most important thing for me as a builder is to make a bicycle that you love to ride. I know that if I use all of my abilities and knowledge as a designer and fabricator and combine them with your input, you’ll get the best bike possible.

I am continually evaluating every part of a bicycle frame and its function. Using my design experience, I identify problems and develop alternatives and improvements to each component of the frame. When an off-the-shelf guide, gusset, or dropout is substandard, I develop new parts that work and look better. My goal is to improve the bike's function with efficient, smart, and aesthetically pleasing designs. I want your bike to work beautifully and look beautiful.

I want the bikes to look pleasing when standing still and disappear under the rider when in motion. The bike should become an extension of the rider's will. With this in mind, I do everything I can to prevent any aspect of the bike from distracting you from your enjoyment. Flopping cables, misplaced guides, and unusual noises are unacceptable at ByStickel. As small as some of these details seem, they can negatively affect your ride. Attention to detail makes a good design a great one, and our goal is greatness.

From the smallest details to bigger concepts, like my short chainstay 29ers, I'm proud of the work my customers and I have collaborated to produce. Hopefully, you will like what you see, and I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks for looking!
